I felt sad for Messi

A hand-drawn caricature of Lionel Messi in an Argentina jersey, looking intense with a raised fist. I felt sad for Messi during tough matches.

Some goodbyes don’t get the ending they deserve.

Messi stood there, second place, and you could see the disappointment. That was not how he would have dreamt of the World Cup.

I wanted Spain to win.

But watching Messi lose that final wasn’t a win for me either.

It was just sad.

It is heartbreaking to see an icon losing. Because when they win, they make us dream.
